We chose to preserve the old building with its plastered walls and contrast it by adding a single element covered in black anodized aluminium.

Reflective surfaces inside the studio were used to bring the view into the space through reflections of light and images, creating an optical space like an external mirror.

The new element contrasts the white facades of the old house while blending with the surrounding farmhouses through shape and colour, adding new spatial qualities through small innovative solutions.

The project transformed an old stable into a studio based on the client’s ambition. Mirrors inside create depth in the small space, making the outside world ever-present, while asymmetrical light openings create a special ambience through changing light reflections.

From the outside, the studio appears as a prism growing from the old stable, with roof and facade conceived as one unit integrating solar collectors, sheets, and windows.
